Bob
Carlisle
A few years before the song "Butterfly Kisses" rocketed
Bob Carlisle to the top of both gospel and mainstream charts, he
released his debut album. The 1993 self-titled release, while many
times overlooked, is actually one of Carlisle's strongest works.
It is passionate, gutsy, and intriguing from start to finish. The
project's musical mixture of CCM, gospel, and R&B only serve
to compliment Carlisle's throaty vocals. Highlights include the
steadily building, adult contemporary "Getting Stronger."
